Sunday Service
"Let the children come." These are the words of Jesus (Mark 10:13-15). We are firm believers in the fact that the Church is a place for children. We have a responsibility to guide them in their faith development, and, in that process, we realize how much we can learn from them.
Children are always welcome in worship, meetings, and studies here. But we also know that sometimes there isn't a lot for them to do that interests them at their age level.
With this in mind, we welcome the smaller ones among us to Children's Church. Every Sunday during the 11am worship gathering, our gathered children are invited out for some time that is all theirs, giving you some time that is all yours. What do they do during this 25 minute breakout? They "Spark"!
Spark is a Sunday school faith formation program designed for kids age 2-Grade 6. It equips teachers to be better prepared in less time through easy-to-follow lesson formats, lesson preparation videos, and interactive lesson activities (see the drop-down box to the left). The Spark Story Bible (age 2-Grade 2) and Spark Bible (Grade 3-Grade 6) are designed to encourage kids to interact and engage with God's Word and serve as the curriculum's key learner resource. Spark empowers kids' creativity and imagination as they explore Scripture through exciting activities that reinforce the lessons. There are also pages we encourage you as parents to use at home.
Mark 10:13-15 Contemporary English Version (CEV)
Jesus Blesses Little Children
Some people brought their children to Jesus so that he could bless them by placing his hands on them. But his disciples told the people to stop bothering him.
When Jesus saw this, he became angry and said, “Let the children come to me! Don’t try to stop them. People who are like these little children belong to the kingdom of God.[a] 15 I promise you that you cannot get into God’s kingdom, unless you accept it the way a child does.”
